Huge assembly hall

Airbus Equipment Assembly Hall, Hamburg

Weighing in at 560 tons, as well as being about 24 metres high, 80 metres wide, and 73 metres long, a milestone of aeronautics is hiding behind these impressive figures. As the largest passenger plane in the world, Airbus A380 has opened up a new era for wide-body aircraft. Not only the machine itself presented engineers with a great challenge, however, but also the planning and construction of the gigantic mounting hall in Hamburg-Finkenwerder demanded intelligent solutions. That is why it was decided to use the electrical installations of Busch-Jaeger for the construction of the equipment assembly hall.
