An architectural flying visit to Düsseldorf

L'Oréal Horizon, Düsseldorf

The clients of Horizon Development GmbH and the management of L'Oréal envisioned a building that would show on the outside what they are on the inside: transparent, sustainable and innovative. They chose HPP Architects from Düsseldorf to implement this idea. Under the direction of HP Senior Partner Volker Weuthen, the project-controlling architects Christoph Ebert and Wolfgang Miazgowski were able to convince with their brand-appropriate concept.

The "L'Oréal-Horizon", which is located in the north of Düsseldorf, is the fascinating company headquarters of L'Oréal Germany. The building was designed by HPP Architects.

The staggered floors create a tectonic movement that forms terraces for the employees. This results in numerous exciting building structures. The exterior and interior belong together in this special object. The esprit of successful and varied interior design already welcomes visitors to the company headquarters in the spacious reception hall. The building has 15 floors. The premises have been equipped in such a way that employees can work freely, flexibly and creatively. There are small think tanks, large team rooms, numerous seating areas and a silent room for silent, concentrated work.
The color white was chosen for the interior design. This is reflected in the ceilings, walls and furniture. Wooden and golden elements provide accentuation and visual warmth, while black creates contrasts. The light switch range future® linear. was chosen to complement the interior design. The switch range impressed with its Cradle to Cradle certification.
To increase the comfort and reduce the energy consumption of the building, the KNX system from Busch-Jaeger was also installed.
