Thanks to the KNX-APP-Control Server, the KNX system can no longer be operated solely via a switch or panel, but also allows you to control it via mobile devices (e.g. smartphones).

You have the option of customizing the display of the operating pages. You can freely select room images and operating elements to ensure particularly simple and intuitive operation.

With the associated app, you can easily and conveniently control functions such as switching, dimming, Jalouise and RTR control from your mobile device. The scene editor allows you to combine different functions with each other and link them to time programs.

Further integrations and solutions

Thanks to KNX bridging and multimedia integration via UPnP, you can integrate solutions from Sonos and other manufacturers. You can also integrate websites to retrieve weather data, for example, and link other logic functions (e.g. IF then ELSE and AND/OR) and LUA Script Editor.

Home view

In the Home view, you can control all the important functions of your building or individual rooms. Lighting, blinds, room temperature and even the music system can be called up directly via individual tiles. Thanks to practical quick links, you can operate functions quickly and intuitively without having to search for a long time.

Lighting control

With the KNX app Control, you can take a photo of your room and place the controllable components, such as the lights, exactly where they are in the room. You can control the light directly via the image at the touch of a finger - in this case, the light in the kitchen is dimmed. This means you always have the lighting under control exactly where you need it.

Blind control

With the KNX-App Control, you can easily control your blinds in the building via smartphone. You can either select individual blinds or combine several blinds into groups. In this case, the blinds are lowered to 80% - ideal for the perfect incidence of light or the desired privacy protection.

Energy management

Transparent overview of your energy consumption
The energy management dashboard of the KNX-App Control shows you the current energy consumption of your building in real time. Monitor various consumers such as your photovoltaic system or wallbox and gain valuable insights into how you can use energy efficiently. A smart solution for sustainable energy use.

FAQ's:

  • In a group address export from the ETS, neither the data type nor the building structure is exported. This data is only required for the app use and visualization of your KNX project. This data is then extracted during the export, but your KNX project is not saved or data from other manufacturers is retrieved.
    Further information and data from the projects will not and must not be used. This includes information such as

    • Project data (address, name, location, etc.)
    • Personal or person-related data
    • Installed components of your KNX project

  • At Busch-Jaeger we always rely on the latest technologies - especially in the areas of information security and data protection. All communication for the services of the Busch-ControlTouch® takes place via secure, reliable and consistently encrypted connections. In addition, access is protected by a personal password that is only known to you as the user.

  • Remote access from Busch-Jaeger is available for secure access from outside. In this way, you can also make your building automation available from outside without having to access it directly. No port forwarding or other external access is required. As a result, the system is protected against unauthorized access. This allows you to use all options securely while on the move. You can also regulate which internal systems and processes you want to make available for external access. The remote access service is a fee-based service that you can book via myBUSCH-JAEGER. It can be canceled on a monthly basis. The remote access service is easy to use and provides access to up to 10 KNX APP Control Server devices. An unlimited number of mobile devices can be programmed for each KNX APP Control Server.

    If you do not want to use the remote access service, it is still possible to establish a secure connection to your device. The connection used for this is also secured with end-to-end encrypted certificates and requires (additional) passwords set by you.

    Additional security options: User rights management
    With the KNX APP Control Server, you can add local users and define exactly what rights each user has. This option is ideal for larger households, office situations or if you want to grant your guests protected access to your building automation.
