The SCHUKO® socket outlet Safety+ is a socket outlet with integrated increased contact protection. It thus offers you and your loved ones even more safety from the dangers of electricity. The locking of the contacts only opens when both openings are pressed simultaneously. In contrast to retrofitted inserts, the product is guaranteed by the VDE test mark.

Safety+
Safety+ is a designation for a special safety standard for socket outlets and is characterised by the fact that the socket outlet has special functions that increase safety when handling electricity and are intended to reduce the risk of electric shock.

Automatic locking
Protective caps for sockets - called "teddies" - do not guarantee safety and do not correspond to any socket approved according to VDE. The integrated solution is better. Here, the power plug is inserted without annoying twisting, so that the two openings only unlock when pressure is applied simultaneously.

VDE test mark
The SCHUKO® socket outlet Safety+ offers more safety from the dangers of electricity. In contrast to retrofitted inserts, the product guarantee of the VDE test mark remains. The socket outlet can be used as usual without any problems and the design is unaffected.
What does the designation SCHUKO® stand for?
SCHUKO® is an abbreviation for "protective contact". This is a standard for sockets and plugs in which the plug has an additional contact for earthing. SCHUKO® sockets are widespread throughout Germany and are standard in many other countries.
Behind the term SCHUKO® is the SCHUKO-Warenzeichenverband e.V. (SCHUKO trademark association). which is concerned with the further development of the requirements for earthing contact plug systems as well as ensuring compliance with the requirements of the DIN VDE standards of the 0620 series in their current version.
